Million Trees Program

a division of the Western Australian Branch of
Men of the Trees Inc.

The Million Trees Program was established by Men Of The Trees in 1990.

Schools set up a shade house and grow seedlings with practical assistance and advice from the organisation. Our main objectives within the program are to enhance the environmental education of Western Australia’s school students and to help address the problems of salinity and land degradation whilst also contributing to a reduction in greenhouse gases.

From the seed of an idea, the program has developed roots and branches and continues to bring to our local community a range of benefits, from the education of our children, to the nurturing and caring of our local environment.

FREE EDUCATIONAL PACKAGE ABOUT TREES

The Men of the Trees Million Trees Program Educational Package has been designed to assist students, teachers and parents, and children’s groups in organising tree planting programs and producing good quality seedlings. It has been funded by the Public Education Endowment Trust. The package is suitable for lower primary school classes. The package includes:

• 1 x A3 size Tremendous Trees book
• 5 x A4 size Tremendous Trees book
• 1 x Planting Handbook
• 1 x Teachers Resource Book
